Where : Watt Hardison Elementary

When : Friday the 14th, 10am-1pm

(Please stick to this time schedule. We ask that no one comes before or after these times due to bus schedules.)

What : Drop in for a few minutes to meet your teacher, visit your classroom, see some new classmates. Please bring your school

supplies!

Phase-in Week 2015-2016 Information

Hello Families,
It’s that time of year! School begins on Monday August 10th, and we are so excited to see you and your kindergartener! At registration we touched on how the Phase-in Week will go but here is a brief overview.  You and your child will arrive at school at 8:30am. Please bring them to the kindergarten hallway. You will need to check them in by signing your name, your child’s name and phone number where we can contact you. Please provide a lunchbox or lunch money for your child.

*Please wait until Friday to bring school supplies.

*If you are applicable for our Free or Reduced Lunch Program you will have the opportunity to sign up for that in the cafeteria during registration nights or after you have dropped your child off with us during Phase in week.

You will need to pick up your child no later than 12:00 during Phase-in Week. Please pick up your child on the car rider side (the gym sidel) of the school. THERE WILL BE NO AFTERNOON BUS RIDERS FOR KINDERGARTEN THIS FIRST WEEK. Please have your car rider tag in your car. Morning and afternoon bus riders will begin Monday, August 17th for kindergarteners. Panther Paws will be available the first week of school.

There will be two kindergarten groups this first week. Group A will come Monday and Wednesday. Group B will come Tuesday and Thursday. You and your child are encouraged to drop by and “Sneak-a-Peek” of their new classroom Friday between the hours of 10-1. This is strictly a meet the teacher time, not a regular school day. You will receive information as to class placement when you drop by Friday August 14th. If you are absolutely unable to attend a phone call will be made that evening. Please be sure to provide a working phone number.

Sneak-a-Peek:
Friday August 14th you and your child will come to see their new classroom and bring their school supplies. The classroom will be open from 10-1. Come Sneak-a-Peek in your child’s new classroom! Please bring school supplies Friday.

Friday - Sneak-a-Peek: Drop by between the hours of 10-1.

Monday August 17th - Full Day of school begins in the student’s new classroom. Class begins at 7:40 dismissal will be at 2:40. Please be sure to have your car rider tags in your car if you are picking your child up.

3 Containers of Baby Wipes

1 Bag Party Size Play-Doh (Play-Doh brand only please)

Small Backpack (no wheels)

(Please put your childs name on their backpack)

4 Boxes of Crayola Crayons (24 Count)

2 Bottles of Elmer’s School Glue

6 Packs of large glue sticks

1 Pair of Blunt Scissors

2 Boxes of #2 Ticonderoga Pencils

1 Water-color Paint Sets

1 Package Cheap Paper Plates (No STYROFOAM Please)

1 roll of paper towels

  2  3-Prong folders in a solid color

1 1-inch WHITE Binder

1 set of headphones for your child to keep at school  (no earbuds) please remove them from the package and put in a ziploc bag with your childs name.
